Prior to his career as a Graduate Gemologist, founder Joseph Villarreal was fascinated by unusual rocks, minerals and ultimately diamonds and precious gemstones. To further his interest and gain entry to the jewelry industry, Joseph studied Gemology at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America – “The World’s Foremost Authority in Gemology.” He then earned his Graduate Gemologist diploma, a highly valued accolade that has world-wide recognition.

After 10 years of working in the wholesale jewelry and diamond industry in Dallas, Texas, Joseph decided to move back to his hometown in Austin and opened a jewelry company of his own.
