You don’t always need to leave home to clean your jewelry safely. Here are some tips with a video to help save you time and money while protecting your treasured jewelry.
- Mix a few drops of dish detergent with warm water.
- Let the piece sit in the solution for a few minutes.
- Gently scrub with a new, baby-size, soft toothbrush in a new container of lukewarm water.
- Dry with paper towel or a regular cloth.
Using Hand Sanitizer More Often?
If possible, take off your rings before applying hand sanitizer. Antibacterial soaps and sanitizers can break down the brilliance of certain metals and gems over time if used excessively.
If your engagement rings and wedding bands are exposed frequently to hand sanitizer, clean each piece once a week using the methods above.
